Check out the new Fast Fester Drag Racing page. I hope to improve our drag race coverage.

It is a good idea to call during the summer, as we change some of the racing schedules as the turnout dictates.

Check out the Calendar page for race schedules.

Don't forget the place is available for your party. It can be anything you want, a birthday, corprate team building or a bunch of friends that want to race just to prove their manhood. Even if the girls usually win.

Please support the vendors that support you!

FACTORY WARS

We are implementing a class with the idea of capturing the excitement of the old factory wars of the earlier days of drag racing. It will be a combination of Stock, Super Stock, Factory Experimental and early Pro Stock. These are meant to be Hard Body replicas of the factory door slammer hot rods. We will run S-16D motors on and index (around 1.050). We will be running .500 rear tires and interiors to help their scale appearance. Any modifications to these cars will have to be documented with a picture of a real class legal car using said mod. Let’s try and keep this a close, heads up class, full of nostalgia race cars.

Rules/specifications

Index:

To be determined (around 1.050 to 1.090)

Body;

 1955 thru 1979 sedans.

Stock, Super Stock, A/FX (altered wheel base OK) Pro Stock (No wings)

Hard body (No vacuum formed bodies)

 Max width 3.25”

Rear bumper trimmed for wheelie bar clearance only. (Center removal OK)

Motor:

 16D can (FX or Parma)

 Armatures are open

 No bearings or shunt wire

Wheels/Tires:

 Min. 1.0  X .500 rear tire

Interior:

 3-D driver mandatory

Race director will determine the legality of any questionable car or modification based on whether it was built to the spirit of the class.

We discussed using only stock S-16D armatures and having a minimum weight. But I think that the index with handle this. This shouldn't be about who can build the fastest car, but who can consistantly run the number.

Life is short. Pull the trigger!
