NASCAR NIGHT March 4th
A good night of racing with 19 racers. We had several new racers to add to the excitement. Vinny Eugily Jr. took his first win in the Amiture class after just a couple of months of racing. John Carbone was only two laps down with Drag Racer Brandon Colson third in the mix of eleven racers. Once again Dale Olive took the expert win by over 20 laps. He is just in another class from the rest of us. Dave Hansen was second With Nick Carbone coming from Amiture to podium. Hey Fester was top qualifier with a 3.57 with a new JK Cheeta 21.

NASCAR NIGHT FEB.18th
Friday night was great with 15 entries. We kicked off our
amateur/expert classes and they worked out great with the field divided up
about as even as one could be wish for with eight in amateur and seven in
expert. The new tech rules worked out pretty good with most of the cars legal
and the ones that weren’t were just bodies that we have deemed illegal. We
allowed the bodies to be grandfathered and a couple will be replaced for next
week. We also tested a couple of our Super Modifieds with good results. These
cars have a lot of room for development and were on a par with the NACAR
stockers. More motor is what is needed and some crazy builders that we know are
out there.
Ian Cavish took the win in amateur with 287 laps. If he keeps this
up he will be moving up to expert in just a couple of races. Jim Bows was
second with Vinny Jr taking the third place on the podium.
In the expert field Dale Olive (we may need a third
division) took the win with 338 laps, Dave Hansen 2nd with 275 and Tim
Burgess taking third with 288. Showing the division of racers worked out pretty
good. The best part is some of the Pacific Slot Car Raceways sponsored racers
came out (Rob and I). Both our cars broke, but we were there.
This is rapidly becoming one of the most popular races of the week. You owe it to yourself to give it a try.
