Bracket Class
This is a wide open
class. The cars must resemble some type of real race car. They must have four
Wheels and not be wider then 3.5 inches. Bikes are legal and can run two or
three wheels. Maximum dial in is 2 seconds. Keep it in the spirit of drag
racing and have fun!
Super Pro
This will be a Bracket
Class with a .799 dial or faster. It is meant to be for the racer who wants to
go fast. Let’s see what you have got
MOUNTAIN MOTOR PRO STOCK CAR
BODY: Must
be an 1980 or newer body style made of plastic or resin. (no styrene) Body may be lowered, but must maintain two
thirds of the front bumper. Body must retain stock door lines. Body may not be
chopped nor have the wheel wells altered. No two seat coupes, i.e. corvettes,
vipers, prowlers, etc. No convertibles. (T-Tops OK) Entrant must resemble full
scale N.H.R.A. Pro Stock vehicles. Entry must have complete front and rear
bumpers as delivered by the factory. Rear bumper may be opened for wheelie bar
clearance only. Head lights, parking and tail lights must be retained in stock
original factory location.
HOOD SCOOP:
Must be Pro Stock style scoop. All cars must have a scoop.
REAR
SPOILER: Pro Stock Style Spoiler with spill plates only. Wings constructed of plastic
or styrene only. Must be chrome or painted to match paint scheme of car.
Maximum length 7/8" measured from mounting point of body to end of
spoiler. Wing cannot be molded into body. The minimum length 1/4" and must
attach to the tail end of rear deck. Spill plates cannot measure more than
5/16" tall.
CHASSIS:
Unlimited. Ball Bearings allowed. All motors must be mounted in-line only.
FRONT
WHEELS: 3/4" minimum diameter, measured from the outside diameter of the
tire. Angling of front wheels to allow lowering of front end is prohibited.
Flat spotting of tires to allow for clearance is prohibited.
REAR
WHEELS/TIRES: Wheel hub diameter 5/8", tire diameter minimum 1-1/16"
Minimum tire thread width fully contacting track surface. (0.500")
WHEELIE
BARS: Permitted, total length cannot exceed 5" from center line of rear
axle to center line of wheelie bar wheels.
WEIGHT: 120
grams minimum weight.
MOTOR:
Factory tagged Group-20(exception MM20 are not legal), Ball Bearing (Full C-Can .513 Diameter Arm plus or
minus .003) Gluing and shimming of magnets allowed. Shunt wires allowed. Any
C-Can currently available through a major distributor may be used. "Big
Cans" prohibited. Magnets must be ceramic type currently available through
a major distributor. Motor may not contain rare earth materials.
Alcohol Funny Car A/FC
Body: Funny Car type body of any year. Kit based hard body or
Resin.
Chassis: Inline motor, ball bearings not allowed. Wheelie bars must not
exceed 5 inch.from center of rear axle to center of wheelie bar axle.
Rear tires: Minimum 1 1/16 in. Dia. .500 full contact
width.
Front tires: ¾ inch minimum diameter, upright and
spin.
Rear wing: Optional, maximum ½ inch overhang
measured from rear edge of the deck lid and along the wing. Maximum height of
side panels is 1 inch measured from deck lid.
Motor: Parma 502 sealed super-16-D. brushes and springs may be changed. No other modifications!
Weight: minimum 140 grams
General: This is intended to be a fun class that
anyone can complete in with simple, commonly available equipment. Let’s keep it
that way!
1) Minimum weight = 100 grams
2) MUST be vacuum formed STYRENE car body, Roadsters will be allowed,
Must have clear windows or clear windscreen, NO F/Cs, NO Rails, NO Altereds,
Roadsters Must have a Roll Cage.
3) Must have a 3 dimensional painted full interior, Roadsters must have
a painted driver in the correct position.
4) Must run WRP C-06 Chassis - NO cutting for lightening allowed - You
may enlarge mounting holes for correct fit or for pinion rear clearance.
Extra bracing may be added.
5) Must be .082" Stainless tubing main rails (front to back), any size
uprights allowed.
6) Must run rear axle bushings on 3/32" axle (NO bearings allowed)
7) Front wheels 3/4" minimum O.D. Must be in upright position and turn.
8) Rear wheels MINIMUM size .500" wide by 1-1/16" O.D. (May be larger).
9) STOCK Falcon 7 motor (ABSOLUTELY NO MODIFICATIONS)
10) Must be 64 pitch 16 tooth pinion gear.
11) Must be 64 pitch 46 tooth crown gear.
12) Final legality will be up to the race directors discretion!
13) Will be run heads up on a pro 2 light tree.
Edge
This is a class for
box stock Parma Edge cars. These cars must be as delivered in the box with the
only exceptions being body and gears.
Body; Any
lexan door car body that fits stock wheelbase and width. No funny cars or open
wheel types. Must be painted with clear wheel openings and windows.
Chassis;
must be as delivered. No cutting or modifications. Some minor bracing of brass pin tube allowed.
Motor:
Sealed Parma #502 S-16-D. No
modifications. Stock brushes and springs must be retained.
Axle and gears:
1/8th inch axle and Parma
48 pitch gears required.
Tires and wheels:
Stock wheels and tires. Tires maybe trued, but not excessively cut. Must run
stock wheelie wheels and tires.
TOP/DRAGSTER
Body: Rear engine dragster type full body. can be lexan, Styrene, resin or plastic model. Must be representative of a modern fuel type dragster with exposed engine (with blower and headers), rear wing, roll cage and 3-D driver.
Chassis: Inline motor, ball bearings allowed. Wheelie bars not required but if present must not
exceed 5 inch. from center of rear axle to center of wheelie bar axle. any chassis allowed that is covered by a dragster type body.
Wheel Base: 10 to 12 inches measured from axle center lines.
Rear tires: Minimum 1 1/16 in. Dia. .700 full contact
width.
Front tires: ¾ inch minimum diameter, upright and
spin.
Rear wing: Hard plastic with end plates. min. 3/4in long, 3in wide and 3to3 3/4 high at leading edge.
Motor: Minican Sized, Neo Magnets, Group 20 Armature (e.g. ProSlot Velociraptor VR20 PS4020)
Weight: Minimum 150 grams
General: This is intended to be a class for cars that have the appearance of a modern era dragster. Sufficient details to represent this are required and will be judged by the event director.
Comp Eiminator
We will be using the Southern California Competition Eliminator Club rules in their entirety for running this eliminator.
