Race Summary

Aaron Rothstein was unstoppable in this round, taking full command of the Twister circuit. His total of 299.61 laps set the benchmark for the Expert division, backed by the race’s fastest recorded time of 4.645 seconds in the Blue lane. His performance was a perfect mix of consistency and aggression, delivering a wire-to-wire win that left no doubt about his dominance.

Piper Clark once again demonstrated top-tier skill, finishing a strong second with 293.79 laps and a sharp 4.783-second best lap in the Yellow lane. Her pace was relentless, closing the gap late but ultimately running out of laps to challenge Rothstein for the lead.

Shawn Sweeney rounded out the podium, maintaining steady form with 283.80 laps. Running in the Blue lane like Rothstein, Sweeney showed great control but couldn’t quite match the top two’s consistency.

Just off the podium, Chris Alden produced one of the most competitive performances of the night. His 4.778-second best lap was actually faster than Clark’s, proving his outright speed, though a few minor errors cost him a chance at third.

Mike Wilson followed in fifth with 270.24 laps, turning in a respectable 4.823s best lap and showing solid pace throughout the session.

Unfortunately, Jim Radford suffered mechanical or setup troubles, managing just 110 laps before his race ended prematurely. His best lap of 4.701s suggests that when the car was running right, the speed was there — but luck wasn’t on his side this time.

Highlights & Stats

  • Fastest lap: Aaron Rothstein – 4.645s (Blue lane)
  • Top two average gap: ~6 laps (Rothstein vs. Clark)
  • Most consistent performer: Piper Clark – maintained sub-4.8s pace over multiple lanes
  • Unlucky driver: Jim Radford – strong pace early, race cut short

Closing Thoughts

The Twister Expert heat showcased just how demanding this track can be at full pace. Rothstein’s near-300-lap total was a statement performance, while Clark’s smooth and consistent drive kept the pressure on throughout. Sweeney and Alden both proved competitive, hinting that future rounds could bring even tighter finishes.

With lap times dipping well below 4.8 seconds, the Expert division is setting a new standard — and the next race promises even faster action as drivers fine-tune their setups for a rematch.
