Twister Speedway Christmas Day After-Report
December 26, 2025
The day after Christmas, the Twister track was alive with high-speed action, as drivers raced off those extra holiday calories (and probably a few too many Christmas cookies). Here’s how things shook out:
Nascar Expert Race:
Piper Clark came out on top with an impressive 4.728-second lap, securing the win in what could only be described as a “perfect post-Christmas recovery.” Doug Yarbrough wasn’t far behind, finishing second with a time of 4.733, keeping the pressure on Clark the whole way.
Mike Wilson grabbed third place with a solid 4.783, hanging tight but never quite able to challenge the front-runners. Bill Clemans finished fourth at 4.835, showing some promise but lacking the consistency to keep up with the top three.
In fifth, Chris Alden posted a 4.901 time, proving that his car’s potential is there, but maybe just needs a little fine-tuning. Shawn Sweeney came in sixth with a 4.948, while Leonard Strand wrapped up the field in seventh place at 4.683, his performance not quite living up to expectations.
Nascar Amateur Race:
Over in the amateur ranks, David Bauder took the win with a 4.949 lap, racing to a strong victory and showing no signs of slowing down after the holidays. Robert Hanlen finished second with a 5.087, keeping things competitive.
Keith Bare placed third with a 5.017, giving it his all but just missing out on the top spots. Mike Strong crossed the line in fourth at 5.458, staying consistent but couldn’t quite match the top three speeds.
In fifth, Jack Granchi posted a 5.095, while Kairi Bare finished sixth at 6.114. Lucas Strong rounded out the field in seventh with a 6.213, struggling to find his rhythm after the holiday festivities.
That’s a wrap for the post-Christmas races at Twister Speedway! As the dust settles, it’s clear that the holiday break wasn’t enough to slow down some of the top drivers, while others may need a bit more time to recover. Looking forward to seeing who can bring the heat in the New Year’s races!
