JK F1 Race Report 04/18/2026
The JK F1 class delivered a competitive and fast-paced race at Twister on April 18, 2026, with a strong field of twelve drivers battling across two heats. Qualifying times were tight at the top, and the race itself saw consistent lap totals separate the frontrunners from the rest.
Doug Yarbrough took the overall win with a dominant performance, combining a 4.849 qualifying effort with the top race total of 286.57 laps. His consistency on the blue lane secured a comfortable margin of victory.
Piper Clark finished second with 281.10 laps. After qualifying with a solid 4.915, Piper maintained a steady pace throughout the race, holding position ahead of the rest of the field but unable to close the gap to the leader.
David Bauder claimed third place at 273.20 laps. His qualifying run of 4.918 kept him in contention early, and consistent laps allowed him to round out the podium.
Shawn Sweeney finished fourth with 271.33 laps. Despite not qualifying at the very top, Shawn delivered one of the quicker race laps at 4.901 and stayed competitive throughout.
Mike Wilson took fifth place with 269 laps. He posted the fastest qualifying time of the event at 4.847 but was unable to translate that pace into a higher finishing position over the full race distance.
