JK LMP Advance Race Report 04/18/2026
The Advanced LMP Expert race at Twister on April 18, 2026, closed out the evening with the fastest pace of the day and a highly competitive field. Lap totals were strong at the top, with several drivers breaking the 300-lap mark.
Doug Yarbrough took the win with an impressive 322 laps. After qualifying at 4.222, he delivered a consistent and controlled race, setting the pace from the front and finishing with the top total of the event.
Piper Clark finished second with 313.79 laps. A solid qualifying run and steady race performance kept Piper firmly in the hunt, securing another strong podium result.
David Parsons claimed third with 310.89 laps. His 4.307 qualifying time put him among the fastest early, and he maintained that speed to complete the podium.
Bill Clemans was close behind in fourth at 309.37 laps, followed by Leonard Strand in fifth with 301.21. Both drivers showed consistent pace and stayed competitive throughout the race.
John Kolman led the next group in sixth with 290.22 laps. Chris Alden finished seventh at 277.10, just ahead of Shawn Sweeney in eighth with 275.08.
Mike Strong took ninth with 271.44 laps, while Mike Wilson rounded out the top ten at 260 laps despite showing strong speed in qualifying.
Aaron Rothstein finished eleventh with 52 laps after issues early in the race limited his total.
David Bauder placed twelfth with 47 laps after leaving his motor on the track, ending his race prematurely.
