Drag Racing:
We’re into our Fall Bracket Series, Congratulations Dave Collins for winning the overall points championship in the Summer 2012 Series. In the current series its Dan “Uncle Fester” Parris out in front with three solid finishes including a win and 2 runner up. The Summer slowdown appears to be over with more racers and entries showing up in all classes. This should make for some exciting competition!
Kids Racing
Our Kids program which runs every Wednesday September through May is up and running with the old racers trickling back in and a few new ones too. We’re excited to see the friendly smiles from last year once they are settled back into the school routine
LMP-12 Summer Series Final Race: Leonard Strand takes his first win in several decades
This year the summer LMP-12 Series was dominated by none other than Jim Radford winning 3 out of 4 races and setting both a new time and lap record for the class. In a surprise twist Leonard Strand TQ’s in two races and wins the final. It was a fun competitive series again this year. We will now retire our LMP bodies until next summer. The racing was so clean I was able to run my body in 3 races and still use it at the ISRA Nats in New Jersey this past weekend.
Stock Car Racing
I was out of town at the ISRA Nationals in NJ but it appears Tim Burgess won the Expert race on Friday with Aaron having some car issues. Congratulations to Timmy! Diane and Jeff ran the shop while I was gone and I was pleased to find almost everything in order when I returned.
