JK Wide Indy Race Report – Twister Raceway

The JK Wide Indy class delivered another competitive evening of racing at Twister Raceway, with Bill Clemans taking the victory after a strong performance throughout the event. Clemans qualified fourth but put together a consistent race to finish on top with 279 laps.
Piper Clark secured second place with 277.72 laps, while Shawn Sweeney rounded out the podium in third with 276.48 laps. The battle for the top three remained close all race long, with less than three laps separating the podium finishers.
David Bauder crossed the line fourth with 268.57 laps after qualifying near the front, followed by John Kolman in fifth. Mike Strong, Robert Hanlen, and Keith Bare completed the main field.
Shawn Sweeney recorded the fastest lap of the race with an impressive 4.961-second run on the Blue lane, narrowly edging out Clemans’ 4.962-second best lap.
Unfortunately, Leonard Strand’s race was cut short after showing early speed, resulting in a ninth-place finish.
