Advanced LMP Expert Race at TWISTER – Race Report & Full Results

The Advanced LMP Expert class delivered the fastest and most competitive racing of the evening at TWISTER, with qualifying separated by hundredths of a second and the top drivers pushing deep into the 300-lap range during the main event.
Doug Yarbrough led the charge from the start, turning a blistering 4.277 qualifying lap before backing it up with a dominant race performance of 312.80 laps. Yarbrough maintained remarkable consistency throughout the event and added a strong 4.380 best race lap on the Blue lane to secure the overall win.
Second place went to Piper Clark, who stayed within striking distance all race long and finished with 308.81 laps. Clark’s smooth and steady pace kept pressure on the leader through every heat.
Just fractions behind, Bill Clemans completed the podium with 308.54 laps after a highly competitive run. The narrow margin between second and third made for one of the closest battles of the night.
John Kolman put together a strong fourth-place finish at 302.24 laps, while Leonard Strand rounded out the top five with 292.99 laps and a quick 4.503 best lap on the Green lane.
Owen Yarbrough remained competitive throughout the race to finish sixth with 288.57 laps.
Further back, David Bauder narrowly edged Shawn Sweeney for seventh place by just hundredths of a lap, 281.00 to 280.99. Sweeney, however, recorded one of the fastest laps of the event with a rapid 4.391 on the Red lane.
Mike Strong, Bryan Williamson, and Jack Granchi were locked in a close mid-pack battle throughout the race, while Keith Bare completed the field in twelfth.

The Advanced LMP Expert class capped off the evening with elite speed, razor-close battles, and some of the fastest laps turned all day at TWISTER Raceway.
