JK NBS Group-9 Race at TWISTER – Race Report & Full Results

The JK NBS Group-9 racers hit the TWISTER circuit with blistering speed and plenty of drama, producing one of the fastest races of the day. High lap totals and several lightning-fast lap times kept the competition intense from the opening heat to the finish.
Piper Clark continued an impressive afternoon by capturing another victory with a dominant 295 laps while turning a strong 4.531 best lap on the Purple lane. Clark maintained consistent pace throughout the race to secure the top spot.
Second place went to Doug Yarbrough, who stayed close to the leader all race long and finished with 292.53 laps. Yarbrough also posted the fastest lap of the event with an outstanding 4.444 on the Orange lane.
David Bauder completed the podium in third with 267.60 laps after a steady and controlled run that kept him comfortably ahead of the mid-pack battle.
The fight for fourth saw Jack Granchi edge out Owen Yarbrough by just a few laps, finishing at 261.87 to 257.23. Owen also impressed with a quick 4.656 best lap.
Shawn Sweeney showed excellent raw speed with a remarkable 4.208 lap — the quickest recorded time of the race — but difficulties during the event limited him to sixth overall at 252.89 laps.
Further back, John Kolman, Bryan Williamson, and Robert Hanlen battled through competitive heats to round out the top nine.
Mechanical troubles impacted both Mike Strong and Bill Clemans, preventing either driver from challenging for the front despite showing flashes of speed.
