16 racers were at the track last Friday to start their Memorial Day weekend. The group was split evenly with 8 amateurs and 8 experts.
The amateur race had numerous first time racers. Eli Pile led from start to finish to pick up the win. Way to go Eli! It is so awesome to see new people at the raceway trying slot cars. If anyone needs a hand with their cars, any expert racer is willing to help out.
On to the expert race, Bill Clemans was very fast this week, timing in at a 4.51. For the most part everyone was within .2 tenths of each other. The race itself was very close among the top 5. Bill led most, if not all of the race. I failed to stop for a wreck and spent the entire race trying to catch up. Bill won, followed by myself, and Jim Radford.
Every Friday night we race the Nascar class on the Twister at 7pm.
