Race Results 2/23
The threat of lowland snow did not keep most Friday night Nascar racers away. The amateur class was up first, with 5 entries at the starting line. Really, this class has evolved into an intermediate class. David Parsons won again, but this time he had constant pressure from Frank Robertson. Both of these guys push each other to higher lap totals week after week. Jim Nelson is just a bit off their pace, and will be looking to find just a little more speed out of his car.

The expert class had 6 racers. A tight 3 way battle for the lead between myself, Tim Birdgess, and Lee Gilbert lasted until the 7th segment. Choosing to attempt a pass on the outside in the sweeper resulted in my race ending early with a broken leadwire, and a bent chassis. Timmy out drove the rest of us and won the race. Lee was a close 2nd, and Brad Hoyt finished in 3rd.
