Curtis Hardy Picks Up His First Win In Amateur Nascar Class

It’s always fun to see people get their first win! This week was no exception as Curtis Hardy led nearly the entire way to win by 3 laps. Sometimes new winners get out to an early lead, then overdrive the car to make sure they stay out in front. Curtis was consistent the whole race, and knew when it was time to push the car, and when it was time to back off a bit. Well done Curtis!! Mike Wilson finished in the runner up spot, and Robert Hanlen took third this week.

It’s as much fun to watch this class, and see the development of these racers as the racing itself is for me. The amateur class is made up of beginning racers, people looking to move up to the expert class, and racers who have found a home within this class. Anyone looking to try slot car racing will find that this class is made up entirely of a group of racers just looking to have fun on a Friday night.
