J.R. Sweeps The Weekend

Once a month we get the chance to race in 5 classes starting Friday night with the Nascar class, and then racing 4 classes on Saturday. It is very rewarding to win one of these races, and if you can win two it’s special, Jimmy went 5 for 5 this past weekend!!!

The Friday night Nascar class had 15 entries, including California’s Rick Linn who comes up every month for the series racing.
Chris Alden again took the win in the amateur class, followed by his brother Jim, and Doug Yarbrough who is back in the slot car scene after many years away. Ryan Guiher continues to march up the leader board and finished fourth in this race, 1 lap off a podium finish. Keith Bare is another racer who is very close to getting some podiums.
A full field of expert racers lined up for there main, including quick qualifier Lee Gilbert, and amapert Chris Alden. Lee and Jim would have a close battle all race long, with Rick Linn staying just close enough to capitalize on any mistake they made. Recent amateur graduate Mark Nelson had another solid race finishing in the fourth position.
Racing continues this Friday night with the Nascar group, I always thought it would be really cool to have 20 racers on Friday nights, it’s been super close a few times, so lets see if we can make it 20+ racers this Friday night! If you need any help at all with your car, as always, any expert racer would look forward to helping you with your car, and if you want some driving tips, see JIMMY!
